Sketchbook in Barcelona courses are programmed every month in different city locations

Goals:
The course goal is the study of urban landscape and architecture, and to shapen observational and seeing habilities. The course is addressed to beginners, artists, architects, designers and to anyone interested in learning about handheld drawing and prespective sketching.

Trough the use of the techniques of pencil, graphite, charcoal, etc; we will work on different themes, adapting the class to the student level:

  • The line in the drawing
  • Techniques to learning to see
  • Light and shadow
  • Prespective (1, 2 and 3 vanishing points)
  • Composition, scale and proportion
  • Tone, rhythm and harmony
  • Global drawing and detail

Classes will take place outside the classroom, in emblamatic locations troughout the city of Barcelona. Taking the school as a starting and ending point, a specific location will be selected for each course (The Gothic Quarter, the Modernist Barcelona, beaches, markets, etc). There will be a final correction of the student work at art school.
